MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION If you are a retired police officer from New York State and would like to join the RPA, you can download an application by going to this link and printing out the application. Fill out all the information on the application (3 pages) sign it in the three places noted and send the complete application with your check payable to the RPA for $35.00 to the RPA address on the application. Please make sure to include your Retirement Pension number and System on the application. There is a death benefit for members joining within one (1) year of retirement of $300. For those joining the Association more than one (1) year after retirement, the death benefit is as follows: For a member who has been a Member in Good Standing At least one (1) year but not more than two (2) years.....................$100.00 At least two (2) years but not more than three (3) years.................$150.00 At least three (3) years but not more than five (5) years..................$300.00
